We run guided green lane tours all year round, in various locations. But what is a 'Green Lane Tour'?
'Green lane' is a term used to describe an
unsurfaced route along which there are legal rights to drive a motor vehicle.
These may be more accurately described as 'Byways Open to All Traffic' or
'Unclassified County Roads'.
These are the parts of our national highways
network which never got surfaced or upgraded, but they retain the rights for
drivers to use them.
As well as our rights, we have responsibilities to use
this network of trails responsibly, and to be absolutely certain that the legal
right to drive exists.
Rather than carry out research yourself,
many drivers choose to employ the services of a commercial guide, such as
ukLANDROVERevents.
It's important that your guide is properly experienced,
insured, well researched, and has the knowledge and the equipment to support you
on a tour.
More than that though, in order to be MORE than just a 'tour
guide', we think it's vital that they are also a qualified and
approved
instructor, so that they can LEGALLY instruct you on the best way of driving
your vehicle on this terrain.
Only instructors who are approved by the
Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency are allowded to charge for instruction in a
motor vehicle.
Anyone instructing on a commercial basis, even off road or on
private land, without being on the DVSA register of approved instructors, is
committing a criminal offence.
With ukLANDROVERevents, you will ALWAYS be led
by a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor, so there are no grey areas, we are always
on the right side of the law.
By booking with ukLANDROVERevents, you can
be sure you're in safe hands. Well into our third decade of leading tours,
we welcome novices
as well as experienced off road drivers. We provide
2 way radios, and carry all essential kit, so you can just arrive and drive,
with total support.
We usually run in excess of 50 tours per year, with events running almost every week.
Weekday tours as well as weekends feature on our calendar
throughout the year.
Extra dates are often
added to the calendar, meaning there are lots of opportunities to join us on a
tour.

Currently, our single day events cost just
£80+VAT
/ £96inc VAT per vehicle, regardless of how many passengers you bring along.
You must have your own suitable Land Rover (with low range gearbox) in order to attend our Green Lane
Tours.
