WHY USE US?

(BENEFITS OF A GUIDE/INSTRUCTOR)

ukLANDROVERevents guided greenlane tours are made up of trails which are public rights of way.  However travelling with a properly qualified and authorised instructor instead of on your own has many benefits.

LEGALLY AUTHORISED TO GIVE INSTRUCTION

In order to comply with Section 123 of the Road Traffic Act 1988, anyone being paid to give instruction on how to drive a motor vehicle in any situation needs to be properly qualified and authorised by the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency.  On any tour with ukLANDROVERevents, you will have a fully qualified and authorised instructor guiding the group to  help you to get the most from your vehicle.  Instructors are regularly assessed by the DVSA to ensure their driving and more importantly their teaching knowledge is up to date and to the required standard.  Most off road tour companies are acting solely as 'tour guides', meaning they are not 'legally' allowed to offer any help or instruction in how to drive any specific obstacle.

OFF ROAD EXPERIENCE & EQUIPMENT

We get lots of customers who are 'first timers', as well as those who've driven off road for many years.  As a specialist off road driving instructor with over 25 years of off road driving experience, ukLANDROVERevents can offer guidance and reassurance if this is your first time taking your vehicle off road.  We also carry plenty of recovery equipment, meaning you can just turn up in your Land Rover with no other kit if you want to.

TRAVELLING IN A GROUP

We only take small groups on our events, however this does mean that you can be confident there will be other vehicles around, should you become stuck (not a regular occurrance with us).  This is a great benefit if you don't know anyone else with a 4x4 to go out with you.  Driving off road on your own is not recommended.  Joining one of our small groups also makes the drive a much more sociable event.  You get to meet like minded people and pick up hints and tips from everyone.

NO LEGAL WORRIES

Driving public rights of way is a confusing mix of legislation, guidelines and misleading anti 4x4 information.  We take this worry away from you, by planning the route well in advance, with detailed knowledge of the ever changing legal status of each trail, meaning you just tag along on the tour, without worrying about ending up on the wrong track, and the wrong side of the law.

NO PLANNING

You book a place, we send you the details of where to meet, we drive together in a group, and that's it!  No hunting through maps, deciding where to stop for lunch or any of the other boring bits of organising a day out.  We do it all.  Just turn up, and enjoy your day.
